CANADIAN PACIFIC WOMEN'S OPEN

August 28, 2022

Hye-Jin Choi

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

The Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club

Quick Quotes

Q. You had an Eagle putt there to tie to the lead but you were just a little short, how do you feel now?

HYE-JIN CHOI: It’s disappointing, but I’m glad I had a strong finish to the round. Honestly, when the gap got bigger in the middle of the round today, I was feeling pretty down. But I got good saves in the back nine and I’m satisfied to finish today without a bogey

Q. You were even for a while today, a lot of pars. What sort of wasn’t work there and how did you get it rolling at the end to give yourself a chance?

HYE-JIN CHOI: I didn’t convert lot of birdie opportunities in the front nine. Compared to yesterday, I didn’t get on the green as much, but I saved them so I had the mindset of ‘Let’s wait, let’s wait. That led me to my first birdie and I was glad to get another birdie on the final hole.

Q. You’re one of our most successful rookies on tour this year, how does that feel for you as a rookie to be able to perform so well each week?

HYE-JIN CHOI: LPGA was a stage that I wanted to go to when I was in Korea. I’m grateful to be playing at the LPGA each week and I feel like I’m making big strides. I’m happy to be playing here and I want to finish the rest of the season with high confidence.
