Quick Quotes

Q. Scott, just talk us through the last putt there on 18.

SCOTT STALLINGS: Man, we read it exactly -- it did what exactly we thought it was going to do, it just did it behind the hole. Man, I hit a great putt on 17 and a great putt on 18 exactly where we read it, just kind of a later break. I was thrilled with the way I put myself in position after kind of a weird three-putt on 13, and I had a lot of good birdie looks coming in and a lot of really good shots coming down the stretch in a situation that I really hadn't been in to this level in a long time and was thrilled with the way I kind of handled it all.

Q. How do you feel like you felt in that situation seeing as you hadn't been in that kind of situation in a while?

SCOTT STALLINGS: I was very happy. Had a great game plan kind of all week and was -- to say you wanted them over again would be -- it kind of goes without saying, but I would have hit the exact same putt. In the moment the ball rolled end over end, ended up right behind the hole on 17 and 18. There's really not much else you can do. Thrilled for the opportunity to go. Excited to go see my kids and my wife here in just a little bit and head down to Atlanta at some point tomorrow.

Q. You've had a fairly consistent year, and your game seems to have been increasingly -- how well you're playing as the year has gone along. How awesome is it to play your way into East Lake at the end?

SCOTT STALLINGS: That was the biggest goal of the year. I had a very in depth conversation with all the guys I work with in Napa, and to figure out what it was going to take, some tweaks in my game to do the things I need to do to play at this level, to compete with the best players in the world and make it to East Lake was better late than never, I guess. But super excited the way that John and I kind of handled ourselves and knew what we were doing with coming down the stretch, and excited for next week for sure. But we're definitely going to celebrate tonight.
