Quick Quotes

Q. Peiyun, just your overall experience over the last four days, to see yourself up there towards the top of the leaderboard. Just take me through what the last four days were like for you.

PEIYUN CHIEN: I think it's a good experience for me. I feel very calm to stay here because everything I feel here is very chill. A lot of cow, and I sleep with the sheeps every night. Definitely a good experience, and I feel I've been myself for sure.

Q. When you say you slept with the cows and the sheep, you're talking about you slept at a farm, an AirBNB?

PEIYUN CHIEN: Yes, because the first day we arrive so late, and the guy is pretty weird, and the farm -- it's getting smaller and smaller, and everything is dark. We are so nervous and scared to stay there. We must be -- almost want to change hotels the next day. But when the sun come up, everything is very pretty.

Q. What did you take away from this final round knowing that you'd have to grind to get up there. Were you looking at leaderboards at all?

PEIYUN CHIEN: Yes, I do. I look at the leaderboard, and I think last day, my driver is already not very good. I need to practice, if under pressure, how can I just hit the fairway. That's my next goal to practice.

Q. What do you take away about your game, not only on the course but just the mental game that you've been working on, as well, as you gear up for going back to North America?

PEIYUN CHIEN: Actually I feel pretty calm, better than yesterday. Front nine I think I'm too relaxed and too soft. I should pick the course every hole, every single shot. But yeah, it is what it is, and I try. I think it's pretty good to me.

Q. For you, you talk about not maybe being too aggressive. Is this kind of a turning point for you to be more aggressive in situations where maybe you weren't as aggressive beforehand?

PEIYUN CHIEN: I think the LPGA is pretty hard. You have to have four days very good score. I am too safe to play. My goal is if I made every par-5 birdie, I think it's okay to win, but it's not. I think LPGA, the players are getting stronger, and yeah, I need to play very good.
