TRUST GOLF WOMEN'S SCOTTISH OPEN

July 31, 2022

Celine Boutier

Troon, Scotland, UK

Dundonald Links

Quick Quotes

Q. Four great rounds going into next week. How are you feeling about your game?

CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, I feel pretty good. I feel like my irons, approach shots and short game have been very solid especially, so I'm just hoping to take that into next week and I'm not sure what the course looks like, but gives me a lot of confidence coming into the British.

Q. When someone shoots a 62, it's very hard to keep pressing. Were you feeling pressure on the leaderboard today?

CELINE BOUTIER: A little bit towards the beginning of the back. I started making some bogeys and I feel like it's not easy, you know, playing in the final group. Then obviously when someone just has their day, you just can't do anything about it really.

Q. Still pleased with four great rounds in the 60s on the links ahead of next week?

CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, I think it's great preparation for next week.

Q. Very well-played here this week. Obviously I know you wanted to win today but nevertheless, second, a fantastic week for you here. How do you reflect on it?

CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, obviously a bit disappointed at the moment but I feel like my game has been very solid all week and I put myself in position. Playing the final round, final group, is not always easy to manage.

I feel like hopefully I'm going to gain some experience from this and next time I'll be lifting the trophy.

Q. Not often someone shoots 10-under. Were you aware of what was happening and what you needed to do over the closing holes?

CELINE BOUTIER: Starting the round I knew I had to shoot a low score, even though I was tied for the lead, this course, you can score pretty low. I was trying to focus on my own game and not pay too much attention on the leaderboard. She just had a really great day, so there was nothing I could have done.

Q. When you look back, your game is in good shape in Scotland and confidence for next week?

CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, that's what I'm going to try and take away from this week. I feel like like that it was a little bit windy, a little bit of preparation for next week, and I think that's the main thing is I don't think I could have expected a better week than how I played.
