Quick Quotes

Q. So the last few days, you've talked about patience and to me it looked like patience was a big key for you out there in your group. How was it?

LILIA VU: Today was a pretty slow day for me. I didn't make any bogeys but it felt like I wasn't hitting it as good as I usually do or like how I've been playing the past couple days. Today was a little tougher. Seem like some people shot really low but I'm just going to go out there and try it again tomorrow.

Q. Some tough pin positions out there. You're still up there and very much in.

LILIA VU: Yeah, I've been patient. I'm going to go work on a few things on the range in a few minutes. But I feel like there's a lot of room for improvement tomorrow.

Q. You talked about that you like when the wind gets up. It was changing direction a little bit today. How was it for you?

LILIA VU: It was a little difficult but we managed. Yeah, I probably spoke too much about that. At least it didn't rain, just a little bit. Tomorrow looks like it's going to be a good day.

Q. You're very much in it and top of the leaderboard. Do you think when you walk away after a long day on the links, you'll feel more pleased with yourself as you reflect on it?

LILIA VU: Yeah, I mean, it's difficult here. You have to drive the ball well and hit the ball well and putt it well, too. A couple of the girls are doing that already, so I have to get my game in shape for tomorrow if I want to win.

I think the past couple days, I've been sticking it pretty close to the point where I have maybe three to five feet for birdie, but today I didn't do much of that. I did it once and then I got one birdie and then parred the rest. That's how today went. And if it's an okay day and it turned out like that, I'll take it.

I'm glad that I actually parred 17 for the first time this week today.

Q. How did you play it?

LILIA VU: I'm definitely going to play it differently today because today the wind was different. It was helping, so I plan to hit my driver over the left side of the other bunkers but I blocked it and it went in between the two bunkers on the other side of the fairway, thank God, and then I was able to par. Different way tomorrow for sure.
