JOHN DEERE CLASSIC

July 1, 2022

C.T. Pan

Silvis, Illinois, USA

TPC Deere Run

Quick Quotes

Q. What was working so well for you today?

C.T. PAN: Definitely iron game. Hit a lot of good iron shots out there with today's condition. Pretty soft and no wind, so you can go right at a pin.

Plus a lot of good numbers out there, so just hit a lot of good iron shots, gave myself a lot of birdie opportunities within ten feet I want to say.

Q. So many guys in the afternoon wave yesterday said the course how tough the course was playing. How much friendlier was it this morning?

C.T. PAN: It's definitely much easier. Yesterday wind was howling, I don't know, 12 to 15 miles at times.

Today very quiet and softer greens. Even after the rain delay the greens were even softer.

So it's going to be a lot of low scores this afternoon.

Q. With that in mind, are you pleased with what you did to set yourself up for the weekend knowing that some guys will be low and maybe put the score a little bit higher?

C.T. PAN: I mean, I played the best I could. Yesterday my third hole I shanked my chip. It was tough. Made a double bogey there.

I was 2-over through 3 and I wouldn't think I could shot 9-under or 11-under on the last 33 holes, so I'm pretty happy with where I am at.

Q. You played that third hole a lot better today.

C.T. PAN: Oh, yeah. Par is good score there.
