U.S. SENIOR OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP

June 25, 2022

Steven Alker

Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA

Saucon Valley C.C. (Old Course)

Quick Quotes

STEVEN ALKER: Steven Alker.

Q. So 4-over through 11 today, and then you put four together in a row birdies-wise. What was the flip of the switch there?

STEVEN ALKER: Just getting my (indiscernible) really. I had to kind of get something back, try and get back to at least under par.

But I just started committing a bit more to my shots and made a nice putt on 15 here. Yeah, just trying to get back into it and stay somewhere in there. It was kind of like just freed it up and let it go.

Not that I wasn't anyway, but I was just making silly mistakes. That the difference.

Q. Did you reach 12 in two and then two-putt?

STEVEN ALKER: No, I laid up there and hit a nice wedge from 100. I hit three holes in a row just kind of inside four feet. It was a nice run.

Made a nice putt on 15.

Kind of missed the chance on 16.

But I'm pleased with the finish.

Q. How much lower can you go, do you think, to try to catch Padraig?

STEVEN ALKER: The course is starting to dry out a little bit. It depends on the pins. I'm not sure what's in his head right now.

Q. He made a double here or a bogey. He drove it over here left, just pin high.

STEVEN ALKER: I mean, I don't know. It's something that -- Miguel shot a 7 or 8 or something. I'd have to go very, very low tomorrow.
