THE MODERATOR: Here with Hye-Jin Choi, 2-under 70 today. Very hot day, but you had one, two, three, four birdies; just two bogeys. How do you feel you played today?

HYE-JIN CHOI: So my goal today was to not be too aggressive and actually play safe, and I think that led to a good result.

It was very hot today, so it was difficult, but I'm glad to have finished with a good round today.

THE MODERATOR: Were you watching the scores at all to see In Gee maybe not having the best day? Were you watching her to know where you were around her?

HYE-JIN CHOI: Yes, there were leaderboards here and there, so I couldn't help but look at it, the leaderboards, but instead of that I was more focusing on the group that I was playing with and the game within the group that I was playing in.

THE MODERATOR: You were playing with Lexi. It's always fun to hear the crowds and everything. What was the experience like today with the crowds out following?

HYE-JIN CHOI: So it was the first time playing with her, and I actually watched her as a fan when I was an amateur, but it was a good experience to play with her. Of course, I tried to focus on my game despite playing with her.

Q. I was talking with your manager, and you know In Gee pretty well. What kind of memories do you have, and how close are you with In Gee out here?

HYE-JIN CHOI: I'm obviously close with all the Korean players here. I actually played in the same tee time in the practice round earlier this week, so I had a good time with her, and we're good friends.

Q. After seeing her in the practice round, what do you think of her play these last three days as a friend?

HYE-JIN CHOI: So I didn't actually get to see her watch closely this week, but when I play with her in the practice round or when I play with her in tournaments, she definitely has her -- she plays her way.

She's very accurate. She doesn't play too dangerously, and, obviously, she put up a good score in the first round on this course, and she did for the rest of the week.

Q. There's a chance you will be playing with In Gee tomorrow. Will you change your strategy at all?

HYE-JIN CHOI: Yeah, I think it will be -- yeah, I think it will be a fun round if I play with her. Regardless of who I play with, I try to have a good, friendly, fun competition with them. So hopefully that will be the case tomorrow as well.
