WOMEN’S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

June 22, 2022

Grace Crawford

Hunstanton, England, United Kingdom

Quick Quotes

Q. Was that quite tough overall?

GRACE CRAWFORD: It was. It was a really tough battle. We were definitely back-and-forth. You know, one went eagle, birdie, par. There was some good golf out there. But job done, so yeah.

Q. Feel you are getting quite used to the course?

GRACE CRAWFORD: Yes, I'm comfortable around it, so it's nice. It's familiar.

Q. Is it one with certain holes that you've got to attack?

GRACE CRAWFORD: For sure, there's a few holes that are, you know, you can go for it. But also like I feel definitely, you are going to have to play defensive. 17, you have to hit that ball way left to even have a chance. It's a very strategic course.

Q. You go into the last 32 but sometimes we forget how young you are. Are you pleased? A lot of these girls are older than you.

GRACE CRAWFORD: Getting through to the top 64 was my first goal, and anything past that is just a bonus. So just playing along. Pleased with the result.

Q. Is this the farthest you've been?

GRACE CRAWFORD: I think so. I'm not sure actually. I think it's somewhere close.

Q. And conditions as well, doesn't get much better than this, does it, for quality golf?

GRACE CRAWFORD: The sun's out, everyone's out. Can't ask for more, so that's great.
