ESME HAMILTON: Quite happy. It was just quite relaxing. I had my, brother, Scott, on the bag so we just kept chatting and talking things through. So it doesn't actually feel like I shot that score but yeah, because it was just steady golf .

Q. Four birdies on the back nine, obviously that was the key. Anything in particular that you loved?

ESME HAMILTON: I made some good putts. I hit a really good shot on 11, like 40 yards wedge from -- from the fairway and bounced it down to about a foot.

Q. What was the challenge like? Is it the first time you've played here?

ESME HAMILTON: I played here with some of the members when I was absolutely tiny. So I don't remember the course having played it yesterday, apart from the beach on the last. But I was young at the time.

Q. And what's your best record in this championship?

ESME HAMILTON: This is my first time. Really enjoying it. Everyone seems really nice, the officials, people in the clubhouse. So, yeah, very chilled.

Q. And I just read the story, you're in the States in college?

ESME HAMILTON: Yes.

Q. Transferred?

ESME HAMILTON: Yeah. I'm moving to Kansas for my fifth year, so I'll be under Coach Lindsay Kuhle, so I'm really excited for a fresh start and what's to come because she's new to the team this year, so she's rebuilding it and putting her own stamp on it.

Q. What's your best achievement in golf to date?

ESME HAMILTON: That's a tough one.

Q. Is it today leading the Women's Am?

ESME HAMILTON: Probably, yeah. I've played well in the saint rule at the end of last month, I shot 5-under which is quite special. But probably this.
