LEXI THOMPSON: Yeah, of course it's not the outcome that I wanted, but I felt strong the whole week and played great golf, and nothing but positives to take into a major next week.

Q. Heading into that major, what are some things that you're going to carry with you as you move forward?

LEXI THOMPSON: Honestly, just the positives from this week. Of course I love being here in Michigan in general, but just the way I stayed patient and mentally strong throughout.

I had a rough stretch on my second nine, but I kept going with a positive attitude hoping I could birdie every hole in and I kept on trying.
