NBA FINALS: CELTICS VS. WARRIORS

June 15, 2022

Jordan Poole

Golden State Warriors

Practice Day

Q. Jordan, Draymond was talking about how he still sits with Klay and Steph on the plane and how Bob kind of reminded him how special that is on the way here. Just kind of wondering, what your thoughts are on the last plane ride of the season and if you're able to soak that in at all?

JORDAN POOLE: Yeah, trying to have a good balance of still being locked in and kind of like what he was saying, appreciate the moment and embracing everything. Being where your feet are and talking to these guys about the moment and really accepting it, and it's cool, obviously, but we are here to win one more game, finish it and hopefully have a better plane ride back.

Q. Boston has played two seven-game series coming into this one. Late in the fourth quarter, they don't seem to have the same level of energy and bounce they have had earlier in games. Can you sense when they are getting tired because their guys have been playing 40-plus minutes and have a shorter bench? Is that something like you guys feel like you have sort of exploited?

JORDAN POOLE: I mean, it's all a game of runs and I think that's something that points out. You know, we are a team that likes to get up and down a lot. We have a lot of depth, so being able to continue just to run and play with pace and speed and get up and down as much as we can, I think it wears a lot of teams down. And like you said, they also have been in a couple of seven-game series, which catches up to you later in the season. They are still fighting and we just have to find ways to close out games and get wins.
