PATRICK REED: I'm super excited. Just the thought are being a part of an evolution and a change in golf for the better for me, it's unbelievable. Been watching all weekend and the format and just the way everything is, I'm super excited and can't wait to be a part.

Q. You've been glued to the coverage all weekend, have you? What have you made of it?

PATRICK REED: Oh, for sure. It's unbelievable. It's refreshing to see team golf again. It brings you back to the good old days in college and also Ryder Cups and Presidents Cups when you're out there not just playing for yourself but you're also playing for your team, and over there, building that camaraderie.

And being able to see more golf and more golf shots like we've been able to see throughout the coverage where there's a lot of the golf shots from everyone. You're not just seeing featured groups. You're seeing all players. And always knowing where you stand, having a leaderboard on the side and everyone is through basically the same holes, to me, is amazing because you're sitting there you know, all right, everyone has seven holes left, everyone has ten holes left. These guys are here, you're here, and you know you have to make a push right off the bat.

Being 54-hole event, seems like more of it's a sprint rather than a marathon. Brings me back from some of the Monday qualifier days.

Q. Have you been hearing from some of the guys playing here?

PATRICK REED: Oh, for sure. I've been in contact with a lot of them. It's just awesome to hear out excited and just the energy they have for the event. I've contacted a couple of them obviously before the tournament started over there in London.

But also talking to some of the guys after the first round and second round and how they have told me how well not only in the tournament run but the turnout with the fans and just the excitement they have on the golf course and the energy, and I think that's the biggest thing is the energy seems so lively and every player seems so pumped and ready to go. Portland can't get here fast enough.
