Q. So Lauren, is this the first time you've ever played here at Seaview?

LAUREN HARTLAGE: Yes, this is my first time here.

Q. First time. What were your initial thoughts? What were you expecting as you prepared for this week?

LAUREN HARTLAGE: Yeah, I think it's really important to stay patient this week, because being so close to the water it can get pretty breezy out here and tough to make some putts.

So I think even though we have some wedges in, it can play pretty tough, so I think just staying patient was something I did really well today.

Q. A 3-under round for you. How are you feeling after day one? What were some of the highlights?

LAUREN HARTLAGE: Yeah, I feel pretty good. I hit my drives really well out there and put myself in some good positions.

I think it can be tough out there with the wind, but I gave myself a good look and minimized the damage on any of the holes, so I think I'm looking forward to tomorrow.

Q. This is definitely one of those courses, I mean, 54 holes, you got to get out strong early. There is not the lowest scores, so a 3-under round is really good day today. Is that how you feel as you step off today?

LAUREN HARTLAGE: Yeah, I think I'm in a good position. Again, just staying steady and giving myself good looks for birdie and just kind of see how the next two days go.
