Q. Frida, what an exciting day of golf for you. I especially want to highlight the eagle on the final hole. Take me through today.

FRIDA KINHULT: Yeah, it was really good tee-to-green all day. Felt really good to finally drop that one on the last. I had I think three lip-outs today, so I felt good to pin with one in the middle of the hole.

No, it's great. I played really, really solid out there. So I hit a lot of fairways and greens and managed to make a couple putts.

Q. What is it about the Bay Course that you feel so comfortable at, especially during the first round and having an eagle to close out the day?

FRIDA KINHULT: You know, it's a little shorter setup than usual and I think I used my wedge game today. Yeah, just try to stay in shape from the tee box and the fairways and then, yeah, hit a couple close ones and make a few.

No, it's a setup where if you have a good wedge game you can absolutely score low out here.

Q. Were you looking at leaderboards at all today? Did you realize where you stacked up when you walked off today?

FRIDA KINHULT: I always do. I like to have a little bit of knowing what's going on out there. I still try to play my own game, but I saw 6-under, so I tried to catch that one, which was good motivation.

But, no, it's two more days left so anything can happen. I'm happy with the start.

Q. Have you played this course before? I couldn't remember.

FRIDA KINHULT: No. This is my first one.

Q. First time.

FRIDA KINHULT: Yeah.

Q. What were the expectations and what were you prepared for when you came here? Anything surprise you?

FRIDA KINHULT: I heard it's supposed to be a lot of (indiscernible) and so far it's not, so that's great.

But no, my caddie told me it's very straightforward and I agree to that. So, no, it's just fun. It's a good course. Again, with some good wedge game you're giving yourself a lot of good opportunities out there.

It's great.

Q. What did you hit into 9 and how far was the putt?

FRIDA KINHULT: The putt was about four meters, so that's about like 13 feet, 12, 13 feet and I hit a 3-wood 210 meters. What's that, 230 yards-ish?

Q. And when you make an eagle on the last hole, must send you off the course with a bounce in your step. Just can't wait for tomorrow when you do that?

FRIDA KINHULT: Yeah, no, absolutely. I think the whole round today, it was a good day, so I'm just excited to keep grinding a little bit after lunch and maybe play some ping-pong and get ready for tomorrow.

Q. Have you felt this part of your game click in the last few events?

FRIDA KINHULT: I feel like it's been a lot better and better, been going in the right direction for sure. But then last week I struck the ball pretty good and pretty good short game, so I was pumped going into this week.

We're still looking for that first win out here?

Q. How much fun was last week? We saw a lot of you and being able to have dinners with your boyfriend. Just explain that you have a major championship going on but also being able to see people that love on a daily basis?

FRIDA KINHULT: No, it was great. I had a lot of positive energy outside the course last week, which we both did bring into the course and the golf game, so that was a lot of fun. He played good yesterday, so we're onto something good.

Q. I remember at Founders Cup you two just felt as if you were both looking at leaderboards with each other. Having that experience last week, I feel like there's a lot of times you'll be an hour away when your boyfriend is also competing at the same time.

FRIDA KINHULT: Yeah, no, we were lucky with that. We have on off week together in about three weeks, and then think the next one is like October. Yeah, we had to take our time there, so we both were very happy about that. Thanks to Korn Ferry and USGA putting us close. Now, it was great fun. It was really good energy.
