U.S. WOMEN'S OPEN

June 2, 2022

Maude-Aimee Leblanc

Southern Pines, North Carolina, USA

Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club

Quick Quotes

Q. 1-over par round today; what went well for you out there today?

MAUDE-AIMEE LEBLANC: Putting was pretty solid all day. I feel really good with the speed of the greens, so that's a huge plus for me this week. But yeah, it was an okay round.

Q. Your first time back at the U.S. Open swing 2016. How nice is it to be back playing in this event?

MAUDE-AIMEE LEBLANC: Yeah, it feels good. I love the Open. I love how long it plays. I wish we played this long every week. Unfortunately we don't.

Yeah, feel like I have an advantage with my length, so just got to make the most of it.

Q. How challenging was today?

MAUDE-AIMEE LEBLANC: It was surprisingly not that challenging for an Open. It played pretty soft. The fairways were slow, the greens were on the slower side and the soft side. I think it's just going to get harder from now.

Q. Playing in the afternoon today, how much did the heat play a factor do you think?

MAUDE-AIMEE LEBLANC: Yeah, it's not the kind of heat where you're still in Canada for sure, but yeah, we just did our best to stay hydrated. It was at least a little breezy throughout the round, so it wasn't too bad.

Q. Will you have a quick evening tonight before coming back out tomorrow? What's your plan?

MAUDE-AIMEE LEBLANC: Yeah, just a quick dinner and bed. That's it.
