Shadow Creek

Quick Quotes

EUN-HEE JI:

Q. Here with Eun-Hee Ji after her 4&3 victory over Andrea Lee. Advancing to the finals. You've got six rounds behind you, one more to go. How are you feeling?

EUN-HEE JI: I feel great. (Smiling.)

Actually, today it's really harder to focus on the golf course because a lot of wind, so it make me a little bit more tired.

But I finish early, so save my energy a little bit more, yeah.

Q. And you are the only player on the course right now who did not go into a playoff yesterday. You had a very early finish. Do you think that gives you an advantage here today?

EUN-HEE JI: Oh, yes, very much. Everybody plays more than 20 holes but I didn't play that much, so I rest a lot, enough, so maybe that help me a lot.

Q. I think you were off the course like two hours before any other player. What did you do in that time to get ready?

EUN-HEE JI: Just take a rest. My feet was really sore, so I massage myself, and with trainer I heat massage my whole body.

Just eat well and sleep well.

Q. I see you favored the back nine today. You and Andrea battled throughout the front nine. What did you do on the turn to sort of compose yourself and get ready for the back nine?

EUN-HEE JI: I mean, it's hard out there because of the wind. I missed a lot of second shot, but also she missed second shot.

But I up and down a lot, so that's make me more up quicker, yeah.

Q. I saw from the minutes I was watching you were playing a little more aggressively than Andrea. Is that how you felt out there? Felt you were playing aggressively and maybe she was playing a little bit too conservative?

EUN-HEE JI: I don't know about that. It's totally different golf course than yesterday, so I try to make sure hit it middle of the green, middle of the fairway. Just tried that today, yeah.

Q. I know you mentioned the wind several times. How do you sort of manage a challenge like that?

EUN-HEE JI: Just, I don't know, just talk with my caddie a lot, how we going to play. He help me a lot, too, so, is yeah. That's worked out. (Smiling.)

Q. Yeah, and we talked about it almost every day with all the players, but especially with the wind, how important are the pars that you make, especially on the back nine?

EUN-HEE JI: It's pretty important. Make up and down is -- you know, almost make birdie, like feel like birdie.

So just make sure just safe play. Yeah, that's it.

Q. And so you'll either be playing Ayaka or Lilia this afternoon. Have you done any studying up on them? Any experience with them?

EUN-HEE JI: I play with Ayaka before. She's good player. She hits pretty straight and good stroke game on it.

But I don't know about the other player. I hope both good players, so I'm just having good rest and then just wait for next game.

Q. Ayaka is a really good putter. Does that change your game plan at all?

EUN-HEE JI: Not really. Yeah, just same, I think.

Q. So six rounds in the done; round seven to go. What are you going to do mentally to prepare for whichever opponent you face to get into that finals mentality?

EUN-HEE JI: It's going to be really hard out there, like same as this morning, so try to make calm pretty much.

And then just focus on my game. Just other player, what she's going to do, you know, I don't look at that way. I just play my own, yeah.

Q. You're one win away from entering the field at the U.S. Women's Open. Does that excite you? Make you nervous?

EUN-HEE JI: No, not really. But if I get in I really get exciting, but, you know, just it's not happen yet so just try my focus.
