Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Eun-Hee Ji after her 7&6 victory over Madelene Sagstrom early in the quarterfinals. You did not lose a whole the entire round. Did you know that? How did you manage that?

EUN-HEE JI: My putting works really well today. I just pretty confidence out there.

Q. 7&6 round means you only played 12 holes. Were you thinking, I'm tired I just want to get this over with as soon as possible?

EUN-HEE JI: I didn't know that was my last hole, so I was thinking like, oh, I really tired like from now, and then, okay, I need more focus because I want to get quicker, goes in.

So that's it.

Q. You didn't know 12 was your last hole?

EUN-HEE JI: No, I didn't know that.

Q. So how do you find out?

EUN-HEE JI: Caddie, my caddie told me.

Q. What was your reaction?

EUN-HEE JI: I mean, actually she was have birdie putt and I was a little bit closer, and after her putt I'm like, okay, two-putt enough, yeah, okay, let's go in.

Q. Tell me, did you find the course to be a little easier than this morning? How did it compare since the round of 16?

EUN-HEE JI: Actually it's not easier, but a little bit more wind than this morning, and then ball is flying a lot farther than in morning, so I got a little shorter club, but I still have to think about the landing point.

So that's the, yeah, way to I hit it well.

Q. Interested to know what you did in between the rounds, because I know you had sort of a quick turnaround. What did you do to mentally prepare? You really came out firing.

EUN-HEE JI: Yeah, so in the morning I didn't putted well, I didn't make a lot of putts, so after the round a little bit of rest and then I putted practice.

And then I feel a little bit better than morning, so just work on that. And then that's what it is. Just worked out.

Q. Have you thought about the fact that yesterday you were two lengthy putts away from being out of the tournament, that you made, and now here 24 hours later you're in the semifinals?

EUN-HEE JI: I mean, yeah, it's a lot different than yesterday. That putt, last two putt makes me a lot more confidence, so I think that's why I play well today.

So, yeah.

Q. Any concern that you used up all your good karma today against Madelene and you got two more matches to go still, or you have more good golf in you as far as you're concerned?

EUN-HEE JI: No, I just focus on my game, yeah.

Q. I know last year you lost in the quarterfinals, correct?

EUN-HEE JI: Yeah.

Q. How does it feel to have made it past the quarterfinals? You feel like you can go all the way now?

EUN-HEE JI: I don't know. Like this round I feel like this round, yeah, I can make it.

But golf is different every day, so I try my every day.

Q. Yeah.

EUN-HEE JI: Yep.

Q. Well, you've got two rounds for sure tomorrow. What are you going to do to prepare today? Same as usual?

EUN-HEE JI: Oh, yeah, same as usual.
