Shadow Creek

Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Jodi Ewart Shadoff coming her 4&3 victory over Tiffany Chan to advance from the round of 16. I see you and Tiffany were sort of battling on the front nine. How important that was eagle on 9 as a turnaround for you?

JODI EWART SHADOFF: Yeah, I think I just made a lot of pars today and I think out here pars are pretty good score; they seem to be winning a lot of holes.

So just played really steady. Didn't really have that many opportunities at birdie today, but I felt like the course was playing maybe a little bit tougher, tougher pin locations.

And so I just, you know, just kind of remained patient and just middle of the green, middle of the fairway kind of golf.

Q. You had a bit of an earlier start today, earlier than most times this week. Did you enjoy that?

JODI EWART SHADOFF: Not really. The 5:00 a.m. alarm clock was a bit of a shock, but it's nice to get out earlier in the cooler weather I guess.

But this afternoon I'll be hot again, so...

Q. And you're coming off the course a little early. How is that going to be helpful for you going into another round of golf today?

JODI EWART SHADOFF: Yeah, I think just having 30, 45 minutes of rest, get something to eat and just make sure I hydrate properly I think is really important before I go out and play.

Finishing early is probably a really good thing for me, just less holes. So, yeah.
