Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Perrine Delacour at the Bank of Hope LPGA Match-Play presented by MGM Rewards. Took a big 4&3 win over Mina Harigae. You won five holes in a row. Tell me about that stretch and really how you kind of took command of the match.

PERRINE DELACOUR: Yeah, I actually I did won five holes in a row. It was pretty amazing. I play pretty good.

I mean, at the beginning we were like kind of both playing not the best game but not the worst game, and she gave me an advantage on No. 2 where I missed the green, I couldn't make up and down and she made a par.

From there, I mean, I played pretty good on 7. I made a really good up and down so made a birdie and she missed short putt on 8, and I just took the advantage of it and keep going on.

Q. What are you feeling when you're in a moment like that? Do you feel the adrenaline? Did you know in the moment you were in the middle of such a big run?

PERRINE DELACOUR: Yeah, I kind of knew it, but then I was just enjoying. I mean, I like match play. We play it in Europe, so it reminds me a lot of young tournaments so I kind of like it.

I know at some point like you keep winning holes and holes you kind of want to keep going.

Q. I was going to ask you, I know so many of the European players have so much more match play experience. Do you like match play?

PERRINE DELACOUR: I like it better because you can be more aggressive. If you hit a really good shot and you're aggressive you put more pressure on the other player, so I kind of like it.

Like you say, we play a lot of match play when we are young in Europe, so we get used to it.

Q. Do you do that on the French team, various championships? What's the match play situation?

PERRINE DELACOUR: Yeah, so we got a lot of international tournament between country where you have two days in stroke play and the top 32 go to the match play, and then you got the European team where you play in the match play.

So that's pretty much where we're playing. We got couple tournament in France where we play match play, too.

Q. So you like adding a match play event to the calendar here?

PERRINE DELACOUR: I do, I do. It was the first time in Vegas for me, first time here. It's really good. We get treated really good my MGM and the course, it's really good course.

Q. What are your thoughts on Vegas and Shadow Creek? Those two places are hard to explain.

PERRINE DELACOUR: Yeah, it's crazy. When I turn on Shadow Creek the first time I went there, I'm like, no that's the wrong thing. I thought it was lost because it's in the middle of nowhere and you got a beautiful course. It's like, wow, never saw a course that pretty. It's really good. We got really lucky to play here.

Q. I saw you last night with a long wait for Din Tai Fung? You been enjoying any of Vegas and the strip at all?

PERRINE DELACOUR: I did fountain show in Bellagio and I'm going to America's Got Talent tonight. It's going to be fun.

And I'm planning on doing another show or something. Might as well just enjoy everything.

Q. What do you take away from today's success that you'll take to tomorrow's match?

PERRINE DELACOUR: Yeah, of course I got a lot of confidence starting with a win, so it's going to be nice for tomorrow. I'm just going to rest. With that heat, weather, it's mostly important to rest and get fresh for the next day.
