Abraham Ancer

Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA

Southern Hills Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. What went well? What was harder today?

ABRAHAM ANCER: Well, today very frustrating. Couldn't really get anything going. I hit some good putts that lipped-out. I just missed the hole. Just couldn't get any momentum. The speed with my chip shots was off today. I feel like I hit some solid chip shots.

I just misjudged the speed on them and made some bogeys there on 7, 8 and 9. That definitely hurt. Then I couldn't really back in on the back nine. I made all pars on the back nine and yeah, it was tough to swallow that one because I felt like I was playing good enough to have a chance to win this thing.

So yeah, that's that. But even then, you've got to look at the positives. I'm hitting the ball well. I'm putting it well. Just got to be patient and keep going.

Q. So no matter what happens, great week for the Latinos?

ABRAHAM ANCER: Yeah, I think they have a hole to play. Definitely it was a good week for the Latinos. Hopefully Mito can pull it off and win this thing because it would be extremely special for all of Chile and Latin America.
