Flash Quotes

Q. Tell me about your round.

JOAQUÍN NIEMANN: I think I started not feeling great. I wasn't feeling as good as I wanted to with my swing. But during the round, I started hitting the ball pretty good. Started hitting good drivers, good iron shots. My putter wasn't as good as the other days, but overall was a decent round which I knew I could win a couple shots here and there.

But yeah, I'm just being patient and try to keep that good attitude for tomorrow.

Q. The attitude is the thing, if the conditions are tough, so how do you get that positive energy?

JOAQUÍN NIEMANN: I think you can have a lot of runs here where you can hit one bad shot -- you can hit good shots, just be a little unlucky, and you can have three or four holes where you're going to be scrambling and you're going to be grinding. And there's going to be holes that you're going to be playing good.

You've just got to be prepared for when you feel good and you hit the good shots, so the bad shots doesn't make bad for your good shots.

Q. Did you see where Mito was?

JOAQUÍN NIEMANN: I knew he was playing good. He was 10-under for a second, but he made a couple bogeys in a row. He's still in a good position.
