JULIUS MASON: Hideki Matsuyama is joining us at the 104th PGA Championship. You are playing in your 10th PGA Championship. What had you heard about Southern Hills before coming out here?

HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: All I knew about Southern Hills was that Tiger won here in 2007.

JULIUS MASON: Have you played 18 holes here yet?

HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: Front nine only today.

JULIUS MASON: Do you like what you see?

HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: It's a tough course. You have to keep the ball in the fairway, especially on the proper side of the fairway, and greens are very undulated. And so placement is going to be very important this week.

Q. Just talking about the majors in general, and you've played a lot of them, I would say by now maybe your favorite is the Masters, but what do you like about the PGA Championship and what is a common denominator for you about the PGA Championship?

HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: I really enjoy playing the in PGA Championship. I have made the cut every year that I've played. I think I have about three, maybe, Top 10s, and so I always look forward to coming here.
