Quick Quotes - 2

Q. How did you feel about the day?

XANDER SCHAUFFELE: It was good. I tried to birdie as many holes as possible. Just kind of even par through 4 and the rest is history. That hole-out really got the day going and, yeah, I felt like I've been playing some really good golf since we made the cut.

Q. You mentioned the hole-out at 6 from 97 yards away. At that point are you thinking, hey, maybe we could put something together here on Sunday?

XANDER SCHAUFFELE: I'm just trying to shoot as low as possible. I had no pressure to shoot a low score. The leaders are expected to shoot at least five or six to kind of keep the pace, based on the scoring average on the upper half of the leaderboard. So I was literally just trying to birdie as many holes as possible while being smart as well and we were able to do that.

Q. How do you feel about 23-under, can it stand up the rest of the day?

XANDER SCHAUFFELE: No, no, I'm going to head out.

Q. You got to be optimistic.

XANDER SCHAUFFELE: I'm just being realistic. I'm always optimistic, but just being realistic. I think the number's going to be anywhere from 25 to 27 or 28. You can kind of get some things going there, 12, 14, 18, 9, there's a stretch of golf where you can kind of really pick up a lot of birdies.
