LEXI THOMPSON: It was overall a great week. The prep work wasn't exactly how it was for the last four days. Playing the practice rounds it was super windy, it was playing so difficult, but just the course in general was in amazing shape for such a great layout and required great golf shots.

I know there were a lot of low scores, but you still had to hit it straight out there, and it was overall a very steady week. Just overall happy with it.

Q. How rewarding is it to see all that hard work you put in pay off?

LEXI THOMPSON: It really is rewarding. I think as athletes we just want to see our hard work pay off, and when I'm home, I'm doing two workouts a day. I'm putting in five to six hours out on the golf course, and just to see it pay off means the world to me, and I'm going to continue to work my butt off and hopefully see the results.

Q. Just looking ahead, we're heading into the meat of the major season. It takes a test of stamina, and you seem like a player that has a lot of it. How good is it to have your game trending in the right direction with so many majors on tap?

LEXI THOMPSON: It feels good to have my game going in that direction. I know I have two weeks off and then the U.S. Women's Open, so I'm really looking forward to that.

When I go home, I'm working on the same things, on the little things I need to groove on and tighten up in my golf game, I know what I need to improve on, and hopefully see that work.

It's all about putting in the productive practice and putting in the time.

Q. What are your take-aways from such a solid performance here in New Jersey?

LEXI THOMPSON: The take-away from this week, honestly, just proud of myself. Taking the positives away from staying in the moment and just really committing to my shots out there.

I mean, hit some bad ones, but hit some amazing ones and made some great putts. Nothing but positives, and I'm going to feed off that and enjoy my two weeks off with my family and see where that goes.
