Q. Like Kevin said here, quite the performance out of you guys, first time together again. Just a few comments on how the partnership came to be and how good you felt after day one.

ROBERT GARRIGUS: Yeah, Zurich was gracious enough, and they gave us both a sponsor invite to the tournament. He told me I was playing with Tommy, and I was so happy because I know this dude can get on a roll. I can hit it any spot on the golf course because I'm used to getting it out of the bushes. Just in case we hit a bad shot, we're not scared.

We had a great day today, made a bunch of birdies. I chipped in. He was making everything on the front nine. It was a perfect ham and eggs situation.

Q. Tommy, just a few comments?

TOMMY GAINEY: The only thing I've got to say, I've got a great partner. We've known each other for a long time.

I think chemistry is a big part of it, and I also think just having the friendship because a lot of these -- some of these guys out here are paired together just by being put together, so there's a difference in being put with somebody that you know and you like than being put together with somebody that you might have heard of but you don't know personally or have no relationship whatsoever.

You don't know his game, and you don't know his strengths and weaknesses. But like me and Robert here, we're ready to roll.

Q. Anything change -- obviously the format changes tomorrow, but based on how well you guys did today, you just kind of keep that lighthearted mojo going into the different format tomorrow?

ROBERT GARRIGUS: 100 percent. I have to tighten up my ball striking a little bit tomorrow for us. But Tommy striked it today. It was epic to watch. He put it in the fairway almost every hole. He's teeing off first.

So I'm going to go hit some balls and tighten up a little bit. I think tomorrow's the same thing. We get to play golf for a living after all. It's something we do to make money and go out and have fun.

I'm so glad I'm paired with Tommy. I know his game. I've seen him play. We played together at Pebble Beach this year. It's kind of ironic we're playing this week. It's a pretty easy situation.

Q. Anything you want to add?

TOMMY GAINEY: I'm just glad I have him as a partner because I know I could have had some other person from even Europe or the U.S. that I might have heard of but don't know anything about. It just makes it easier, the chemistry that we have.

It worked out today, and I feel sure it's going to work out the next three days as well.
