MASTERS TOURNAMENT

April 10, 2022

Harry Higgs

Augusta, Georgia, USA

Quick Quotes

Q. Harry, how would you describe your first Masters experience?

HARRY HIGGS: It was pretty great. It's what it was all cracked up to be, and it exceeds expectations, which is pretty rare in this world. Really cool place.

I would have liked to have seen it with weather like this, but it was fun. It was a good challenge really the last -- my second nine Thursday and then the last two days with all that wind, and today we saw a beautiful Augusta day.

Q. How would you describe your play throughout the week?

HARRY HIGGS: I thought it was pretty good. It was a little sloppy here and there. Probably threw just a few too many shots away and then didn't really hole any putts. Hit a lot of good putts that just didn't go in the hole. Hopefully next time they fall, and that makes all this a whole lot easier.

Q. Do you have any good stories about Scottie Scheffler? Looks like he might get this done.

HARRY HIGGS: Nope. He is about as boring as they come in the best way. He takes care of his business. He lays low at home. I've hardly ever even see him in Dallas.

No, I don't have a whole lot of stories about Scottie. I don't know that anybody would. He's really good at what he does, and he kind of stays in his own lane and executes really, really high level golf shots. And he is probably on one of the best runs that we've seen in quite a while, probably since Tiger.

Q. What do you like most about his game?

HARRY HIGGS: There's nothing that he does not do well, so it's everything. I don't know that a lot of people would ever teach somebody to kind of swing the club the way he does, but he hits golf shots and puts the ball where it's supposed to go and shoots great scores.

I think it's very simple for Scottie.

Q. Harry, you had a slow start today but a nice rally. You finished right at the top 12. Were you thinking about the top 12?

HARRY HIGGS: Yeah, I'm a little irritated I missed the putt on 18. I hit a good putt, and it broke a little bit more. Yeah, you are always thinking about it.

Q. What would that mean? You seemed like you had a great time this week. It would be neat to know you're coming back.

HARRY HIGGS: It would be great. I don't think it's going to be enough now. I would have liked to have holed that one and seen if it held up, but it's not as difficult as it was the last couple of days. Those golf shots on that second nine are difficult, but not as difficult as it was. So we'll probably fall just short, but it was a nice week.

I hit a lot of good shots. Clean a few things up, and I did a really good job of preparing to play just each individual day today. So I'll take that with me into the rest of the year and do a better job with that.

It doesn't have to be perfect. Sometimes I get caught in trying to play too perfect golf, which we all do. It was a good finish, nonetheless. Would have liked to have had one or two more and seen how it stacks up, but positive. I haven't played good golf in six months, so this is a nice result for me.
