Q. What a great out nine there. I'm sure you were hoping you could sustain it, but just talk about going out in 31, and it seemed like a very smooth 31. I know nothing is smooth out here.
RUSSELL HENLEY: I missed a makeable putt on 1. I misread it a little bit, but I felt really good about everything. I struggled with my driver and some just being a little bit off the first couple of days, and today I felt a little sharper, and the weather was better, and the conditions are just a little better.
Felt really good about the front nine. Was really close on the back. Lipped out my putt on 10 and ended up making a 5. I had a funky one coming back. Never had that putt before. Disappointing, but 13 I was about a yard from being tap-in for eagle, and instead I'm on top, and I can't get it close.
Just kind of some momentum killers there, but I feel really good about my game.
Q. I was going to say 10, you were right on the pin. Just a little bit long, and you get a gust of wind or something there that took you over the pin?
RUSSELL HENLEY: Yeah, yeah. I hit a 7-iron ten paces past it. The wind out here is difficult to get right. Definitely was on the wrong side of the hole there, but hit a great shot, just what we wanted. Just went a little too far.
Q. Now you have a 31 on the front and a 32 on the back here your last two times. Is that any indication that in the final round that you get these two nines together --
RUSSELL HENLEY: I hope so. The scores are so hard. The game is so hard. That would be cool to go low out here. Today was a day I think you can do it, and I just didn't capitalize.
Q. What about just being back? It's been since 2018. What's harder, just getting here? Staying here?
RUSSELL HENLEY: Yeah, it's hard. Everybody is just so good at golf these days. Just competing with these guys is very hard on the TOUR, and I've tried to work consistently every part of my game to put me in position to get back here and compete.
Disappointed with my finish this week at whatever I'm going to finish, 30th. I wish I would have been a little closer to the lead, but I'm happy that my hard work paid off to get back.
Q. I didn't see what you did there on 18.
RUSSELL HENLEY: I shot 2-under, yeah.
Q. Was it a bogey there?
RUSSELL HENLEY: Yes, sir.
Q. How did you end up with bogey on 18?
RUSSELL HENLEY: Do I have to tell you?
Q. No. I'll go back and look.
RUSSELL HENLEY: Thanks, man.
