Q. Could you describe how the course played today, Harold.

HAROLD VARNER III: It was pretty hard, especially from where I hit it. I think I only hit three greens, four maybe. It was just tough, and it got the best of me today for sure.

Q. What was the toughest part of the conditions out there for you?

HAROLD VARNER III: Obviously it was windy, obviously cold. Everything you can think of. The greens were a little faster, and I just put myself in places where I just couldn't score, especially off the tee.

Q. If it works out for Scottie, whatever he gets in at, when you start the round as far back as that, do you look at the leaderboard or just kind of put your head down?

HAROLD VARNER III: No, I don't even know where he's at right now. No, not really. I'd like to be closer, wherever he ends, but obviously not. Yeah, I won't look at it. Probably not.

Q. Was off the tee the biggest problem for you today?

HAROLD VARNER III: Yeah, for sure. 10, I hit it right. First two tee balls were nuts. I think I hit it about right behind that scoreboard right there on the 1st.

Yeah, I didn't hit it in the hazard on 2, which was surprising. So, yeah, it was just rough. It is what it is.
