Q. Adam Scott, tough day out there. You really got the lower end of the deal last group off?

ADAM SCOTT: It was tough. I was playing really well, and 15 bit me. That's Augusta National. You live on a knife's edge every hole honestly, and I was playing with a guy who made it look easy. But that's how he's playing at the moment.

I was playing really, really solid stuff and just misjudged it into 15 and pitched it probably two yards short of my number and ripped it in the water. That hole can give you nightmares, and I had one today.

Q. Other than that, I watched you during your round, and your ball striking is up there. It's pretty darn good to go into the weekend.

ADAM SCOTT: Yeah, I like where my game's at. It was a tough day out there today. It was really tough on the greens, and I missed a couple putts, but I also made a lot of putts too, which is good news. If I can just kind of keep a big number off the card over the weekend, I think I can have two solid days.

I'd be surprised if I can get myself right up there. He's a long way away from me at the moment, but you just never know around here. 11 holes ago, I was three off the lead, so it can turn around quick.

Q. It certainly can. With your experience down into the weekend, you're going to get out early, it's cold, you know the golf course. What will be the key to the start of your day tomorrow?

ADAM SCOTT: Well, I've actually got off to good starts both days, and that's helpful around here because, if it gets going in the wrong direction, it looks like there's no end in sight here.

If I can get off to a good start, good goals would be to shoot all under par nines for the rest of the tournament, and I'll be in a good spot.

Q. How will they possibly set up the golf course? I know you're not setting up the golf course, but Augusta National can set it up however they want tomorrow.

ADAM SCOTT: I think they're going to set it up tough. I thought it was really fair today given that it was tough conditions. There were tough pins on the first day. I think tomorrow's a tough day, and then you'll see the excitement on Sunday.
