MASTERS TOURNAMENT

April 8, 2022

Sepp Straka

Augusta, Georgia, USA

Quick Quotes

Q. Sepp, a round of par with an unlucky bogey at the last and one double-bogey, but still, I think pretty solid. How is your thoughts from the day?

SEPP STRAKA: I played pretty well. I really hung in there. My short game was great today. Really kept me in it. Didn't feel like I hit it very good off the tee, but my short game just really kind of kept me in it.

Q. What kind of role did the wind play?

SEPP STRAKA: A big one. It was hard. It was really tough. The wind was coming from all sorts of directions and going about 20, 25 miles an hour, so it was pretty tough conditions, and I'm really happy to come out of there with even par.

Q. How would you describe the development of the course regarding the firmness of the greens because all the rain goes slowly?

SEPP STRAKA: It definitely started playing firmer throughout the day. They were starting to speed up a little bit too. The wind was really drying them out.

Q. How does it feel in the weekend of your first Masters Tournament? It must be great.

SEPP STRAKA: It's exciting. It's awesome. It's great to be here, and just awesome to be a part of the weekend.

Q. Any goals?

SEPP STRAKA: Just try to shoot as low as I can.
