MASTERS TOURNAMENT

April 4, 2022

Joaquin Niemann

Augusta, Georgia, USA

Quick Quotes

Q. Give me an idea of course conditions today and how you played out there.

JOAQUIN NIEMANN: Yeah, every time you come back to Augusta there's pictures coming down Magnolia Lane, seeing the golf course, seeing the atmosphere here right now, so with Tiger here playing, so it's been a special day on Monday.

Q. Kind of to look back at your junior game, there are nine junior invitational participants from Sage Valley here this year. Give me an idea how neat that was to be a part of and how you've gotten to progress together as a group.

JOAQUIN NIEMANN: Yeah, I remember playing the junior invitational. It was my favorite junior event I've played during the year, and I was able to win it my last year, so it was pretty cool. Yeah, I think it gives us similar as this for a junior golfer playing at Sage Valley. Yeah, just try to make the same here.

Q. Your first tournament, your first Masters was after winning the Latin American amateur and this is like four years later. How do you compare one with the other, coming here in 2018 and coming here now?

JOAQUIN NIEMANN: Yeah, I definitely can see the difference, especially during the practice round obviously it's a little bit different. But even though last year I felt a lot better on the first tee, I remember the first tee when I was an amateur my first time, and I really felt like an amateur.
