Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Celine Boutier, 5-under 67 to wrap up the week here at The Chevron Championship. Going to get yourself another top 10 in a major. How would you assess your week?

CELINE BOUTIER: It has been a great week. I feel like I played really solid from start to finish. Just to be able to finish the last round here with a 67 is definitely a good feeling.

I feel like I was hitting so solid and I gave myself a lot of opportunities, which was really fun to have that many birdie chances.

And overall really happy with my game right now.

Q. What did you figure out today compared to the first three days? Eagle on 2; bogey-free day; had a few other birdies. What was the difference?

CELINE BOUTIER: I think my iron game and my driver has especially been very solid today. I just, like I said, had a lot of birdie opportunities within 15 feet, which I didn't really have the first three days.

And then that chip-in on 2 helped me get doing.

Q. Had you been working on your ball striking before this week or have you made some adjustments this week that led to the good round today?

CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, I definitely knew coming into the week that ball striking was going to be a very important part of the game, especially because I knew the greens would be firm, so I definitely worked on it a little bit.

But I feel like -- yeah, I just feel like I've been hitting very well, not just this week, but this season in general so far, so I definitely have benefitted from it today.

Q. Stock is definitely trending upward. What does the next month or so look like?

CELINE BOUTIER: Heading home for a week and then going to Hawaii and the two tournaments in L.A.

Q. What are some of the emotions you're feeling? Last time at Mission Hills. We know how special this place is. What are you feeling personally?

CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, I was trying not to think about it too hard on the course because it's definitely a little bit sad.

But I definitely wanted to finish on a very good note today, and just making even birdie on 18 was definitely highlight of the week, especially with the crowd and everyone cheering.

We also saw some signs on the course, we'll miss the LPGA, come back. So it's definitely a little bit sad. Yeah, super happy with finishing on 18 with a birdie.

Q. Had you had a reaction like that? I think even as everybody is walking up to the green this crowd is as loud as it can possibly be.

CELINE BOUTIER: For sure. I really feel like it's fun that they do it for every group. Kind of almost feels like you're on the last group on the last day like every day, so it's really fun. They've been really awesome crowds this week.
