Q. First time here. Thoughts?

JENSEN CASTLE: I'm excited to be here. It's a good field. I'm excited to be here, and it's pretty close to home for me.

Q. You have a lot of friends in this field who played in this event. Any advice they gave you for how to get around the course or what to do this week?

JENSEN CASTLE: Told me the greens were firm and the course was hard. No expectations from what I heard.

Q. After the first practice round, confirmed?

JENSEN CASTLE: Check.

Q. What were you most looking forward to coming into this event?

JENSEN CASTLE: Nothing specific, just see everyone. A lot of friends playing in this event, they're not in the SEC, so I don't see them a lot. Making memories, of course, and any opportunity to play Augusta, come on now.

Q. Then a big win at the Women's Amateur last summer that kind of propelled your career in a different direction. Anything you're going to be looking back on in preparing for this week here?

JENSEN CASTLE: I know I'm capable of winning and being out here with the best players, but that was a different event, different golf course. Here I am, new week.

Q. Hypothetically speaking, if you were the champion on Saturday, where would that rank among the U.S. Women's Am?

JENSEN CASTLE: I don't know. Is the USGA around? I don't know. It would be amazing, that's for sure. Probably depends. It would probably be close for sure.

Q. Anything you picked up on in particular you're going to be able to use over the two rounds here?

JENSEN CASTLE: Play to the front of the green. Yeah, firm greens.

Q. Any expectations at all?

JENSEN CASTLE: No expectations. Going into the Am, I know that didn't help me. So I'm going to use that moving forward.

Q. What is a good week for you here?

JENSEN CASTLE: Honestly, I just want to have fun. There's nothing I'm specifically looking for. Have fun, make memories. It's my first time here. It's not like I have any expectations or idea what the cut's going to be because the course is playing completely different. So we'll see and just have fun mainly.
