Pajaree Anannarukarn

Carlsbad, California, USA

Aviara Golf Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Pajaree Anannarukarn after another solid day; 69 on the card today, just 30 putts; hitting the ball pretty well; 10 of 14 fairways, 14 of 18 greens. How did you feel out there today?

PAJAREE ANANNARUKARN: I think, again, been hitting really good. Gave myself lots of birdie putts, and I made some and I didn't made some.

So it's been a good day. But, yeah.

Q. So at 10-under par you're going to be chasing heading into the final round. Are you a player that likes to chase or would you rather be in the lead?

PAJAREE ANANNARUKARN: I like to chase, but to be honest, leading is good. But, yeah.

Q. As someone that became a Rolex first-time winner last year, what kind of experience does being in that position and having won in that playoff give you heading into a final round here at Aviara?

PAJAREE ANANNARUKARN: I mean, I think I learn a lot from that day, especially on that final round. Sometime you don't have to be perfect or you don't have to hit everything perfect and where you want it.

Sometime it didn't work out that way, but just try to stick to your game plan and be patient and just one shot at a time, and eventually if it comes, it will turn out good.

Q. Thought process like that like here that's got those crazy greens, can have some tricky tee shots, how much of that have you applied through the first three rounds?

PAJAREE ANANNARUKARN: I mean, so much. I just really, really stay patient out there. Like today, for example, I been hitting a lot of good shots. I gave myself a lot of birdie putts, but then I didn't quite make a few today.

Yeah, just really stayed patient and it was -- turn out to be a good day.

Q. On a Sunday, you're going to be chasing. I know you kind of want to keep the same mindset, but are you going to attack any more with so much ground to make up?

PAJAREE ANANNARUKARN: Yes. Definitely, especially on the weekend, just to see the end goal and the pin position, sometime I like to be more aggressive with it if I can. Yeah, definitely.

Q. Any holes out here that stick out as holes you can be a little bit more aggressive on? I know 16 played up today.

PAJAREE ANANNARUKARN: Yeah. I would say No. 10 and 16. They move the tee up a little for a reachable par-4, and couple of the par-5 on the front nine, No. 8.

Yeah, those holes.

Q. Those reachable par-4s, are you a player that likes to try to go for it or do you just play smart?

PAJAREE ANANNARUKARN: Try to go for it.

Q. What's the thought process on holes like that?

PAJAREE ANANNARUKARN: So just a 3-wood because it's like 227 front, and if you could land it right, just a touch right of the green everything feeds to the left, so that's just the game plan.

Q. Last question: A lot of positives I'm sure from the first three rounds. What are you going to carry with you into Sunday?

PAJAREE ANANNARUKARN: Just try to do what I been doing the past three days and stick to my game and stay patient out there.
