BNP PARIBAS OPEN

March 14, 2022

Jannik Sinner

Press Conference

J. SINNER/B. Bonzi

7-6, 3-6, 6-4

THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. Maybe you might have been asked this question already, but talk about your new coach, Simone, I don't know how to pronounce his name.

JANNIK SINNER: Yeah, we started now some weeks ago. We got to know us a little bit more in this time. I think we are working on some new things, trying to put in something new.

Obviously I know how important were the seven years with Riccardo. I think we've done an incredible job. In the other way I felt ready to change.

I think he is a very good match, Simone. So let's see how it goes.

Q. What is the new things he added to your game?

JANNIK SINNER: I don't want to say what exactly. But we are trying. Of course, we work every day. It's not easy to put it in in the first game, the first match. It takes time. It takes the right time.

But I'm quite focused about what we are working on.

Q. We know you have been not only good in tennis but also in skiing. Talk about how you picked tennis over ski.

JANNIK SINNER: I picked tennis because I like playing. Skiing is just go one and a half minutes down the hill. If you make one mistake, the whole thing is over. In tennis you can still make some mistakes but still win. This is why I chose tennis.

I think physically for me it's better also tennis than skiing. I enjoy playing tennis, so... I hope it was the right choice.
