JA MORANT: I got this time to pretty much bring my fam out, all of us enjoying the experience. Pretty much they've been here the whole ride. They know what I've been through to get to this point. It was only right for them to be here with me on my first All-Star, so we still got a long weekend ahead and more turning up to do.

Q. Ja, we know you are here to have fun. Will you sit down and think about the journey?

JA MORANT: 100%. Like you said, you know where I'm from, don't happen often that people make it out and be able to put on for the city in the right way. I had the opportunity, and I'm just living it out right now. I normally sit and think about stuff like that when I'm by myself. I don't like being too emotional or anything around people.

So I can say that's pretty much why I was lit on the flight. On the way there, you know, I feel like that's when it hit me that I actually made All-Star, and it was only right that I celebrate it.

JA MORANT: It's pretty much just putting that work in the dark when nobody is watching. The work I put in this offseason, in practice, before, after practice, sometimes before games. You know, everybody don't see, but they see my play on the court, and I feel like that's what got me playing at the level that I'm at right now.

JA MORANT: I just feel like as a point guard you have to be a leader, so that's how I carry myself no matter if it's me talking to my teammates or how I work on the court. Our goal is to win the championship, and I feel like as long as we stay locked in, continue to grow together, play together, that goal can be achieved. We just got to stay the course, take it day by day and let it play out.
