NBA ALL-STAR MEDIA DAY

February 19, 2022

Luka Doncic

Cleveland, Ohio, USA

Media Day Press Conference

Q. Any thoughts on the Olympics?

LUKA DONCIC: Oh, man, I don't want to talk about Olympics, man. It's a tough time. I don't want to talk about Olympics. It's a tough time.

Q. What do you think about Giannis?

LUKA DONCIC: You know what I'm going to say. He is an amazing player, but what most amazed me about Giannis, you know, his personality. Great guy just to talk to. Great guy. About basketball I think he is MVP twice. I think he is going to be maybe five times more, so he is a great, great player.

Q. Do you want to win MVP of the league?

LUKA DONCIC: I don't know. I want to win a championship. That's it.

Q. How many coffees do you drink in a day?

LUKA DONCIC: I don't know. In the morning.

Q. How has your defense been this year?

LUKA DONCIC: It's improving. I think this year has been my best defensive year so far, and I have to keep improving.

Q. How has your father impacted you?

LUKA DONCIC: Yeah, I think I play basketball because he played basketball. I was always with the team on the court, always at the games just shooting basketballs, so it helped me a lot.

Q. What message do you have for the fans back in Dallas?

LUKA DONCIC: Thank you for supporting me. You guys have been amazing. It's been a long time since we've been home, and when we come back, we're going to be on the road again, so I can't wait to play in front of them again.

Q. Thoughts on Brazil.

LUKA DONCIC: Thank you for supporting me. I've been to Brazil. I love it. It's a great country. I have to learn some more Brazilian Portuguese, and I'm going to visit that country again for sure. I played, how do you say, Intercontinental Cup. Yeah.

Q. How did that go?

LUKA DONCIC: It wasn't great. Fourth place is never great. It's the worst place you can ever be. But we came far away. Especially we didn't even know we were going to go to Olympics. I think I remember in Lithuania. It was a really tough game. All the Lithuanians met. They had a great, great crowd. They had basketball people. It was a very tough game, and we came out there and it was an amazing experience.
