Q. Talk us through your round out there; right in contention for the weekend.

HAROLD VARNER III: Yeah, I played really solid. It wasn't blowing as hard this morning, so I didn't think it was gettable, but obviously in my group it was pretty gettable, so just trying to hang in there and just give myself a chance.

Q. What are the things to do well on this course now that you've had a couple of looks at it?

HAROLD VARNER III: I think you've got to drive it really well. It's forgiving off the tee, but when it's blowing this hard, the lines get a little bit tighter, and you've just got to keep hitting good shots.

Q. What are you doing well at the moment? What are the keys to some of your scoring and things you need to do going forward?

HAROLD VARNER III: I feel like I've been doing the same thing the last couple weeks. I played well in Palm Springs, so just stay on it. Nothing crazy, driving it well, keeping it in play. I'm missing in some good spots where I can get it up-and-down. Yeah, I don't feel like I was doing anything crazy.

Q. What do you think about this tournament? Obviously it's your debut here, and playing on a different tour and playing with players from around the world, it's a different experience.

HAROLD VARNER III: Yeah, so I enjoy playing all over the world if I can. Obviously COVID slowed me down a lot. I've played a lot overseas. I've played a little bit of everywhere, Australia, so I really enjoy it. I love seeing different parts of the world. Makes you appreciate home.

But the course is unbelievable. It's really good.
