Press Conference
M. VONDROUSOVA/P. Hon
6-2, 6-3
THE MODERATOR: That was a great straight sets victory round 1. How are you feeling after that?
MARKETA VONDROUSOVA: I mean, I'm happy. Wild card, it's not always easy, and I know Priscilla from juniors, so I knew it was going to be a tough match. I didn't play her in a long time, but I saw she beat Petra in Adelaide, so I expected a tough match.
Q. How much did you know about her match and herself before you played her?
MARKETA VONDROUSOVA: So we saw a few points with Petra in Adelaide and I played her a few times in juniors, but I didn't remember anything. Yeah, I just went out there and wanted to play my game, stay in the game, and I think I did a good job.
Q. You've just come back from injury and haven't had a very good year. What did you think of her form today?
MARKETA VONDROUSOVA: I think she's moving well and she served pretty well, but I think I did a good job on the return, and overall I felt good. I played a good match, so I think that was the key, staying in the rallies and try to serve as many first serves as I could.
