AUSTRALIAN OPEN

January 22, 2022

Clara Tauson

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Press Conference

D. COLLINS/C. Tauson

4-6, 6-4, 7-5

THE MODERATOR: That was a tough match out there; how are you feeling after that?

CLARA TAUSON: I don't feel too great right now. It was a long match in very hot weather, so a little dizzy, but that's how it is. It was a good match, but it didn't end my way.

Q. Going forward in terms of schedule and stuff, do you know what your plans are for the next month or two?

CLARA TAUSON: Right now it looks like I'm playing the Dubai/Doha, but I don't really know. I'll have to get back to you first and maybe practice a little and take some days after the long flight I have ahead of me. But right now it looks like I'm playing Dubai/Doha, and then I don't know after.

Q. Just in general, what do you take out of your performance this week in Melbourne?

CLARA TAUSON: I think I take a lot of good things, especially the match against Anett. I played really well, and today I learned that even I don't have a first serve, I can still play a very long match and even put myself in a good position to win the match. I didn't do that today, but I fought all that I had, and I left everything on court today.

Sometimes it still doesn't go your way, but I'm happy with the way I presented myself on court today and really fought everything I could.
