Q. Danielle, off to a fast start. It was tight with the back nine. Was there any sense of where you stood? Did you know what you had to do at any point today?

DANIELLE KANG: Periodically, yes. I was one shot back going into the final round, and then I made a bogey on 8 so I looked at the leaderboard to see where I was standing.

I saw that Gaby was at 15, and then made sure that I shot -- made birdie on 9. Few holes later I just needed to know because there was constant cheering and I didn't know how far anybody was.

At times I looked back and saw that somebody was up 14 on the par-5 on 11, so I wanted to tie it up. I was very aware there.

And then I was aware again around the 15th hole, and then I couldn't find a leaderboard after that. I knew I had to make that bogey on 16 at worst.

Q. Congratulations for the start to the 2022 season. You're the champion. What a great way to start the tournament. The condition was tough today, how was your mentality out there?

DANIELLE KANG: My mental game was really good. I had a really good attitude all day today and yesterday. I know I left some putts out there, but I never let it get to me and I kept having to give myself birdie chances as much as possible.

Yeah, it was good round. I shot 4-under in the cold today and 3-under yesterday. Probably the best I've ever played in the cold and I'm proud of myself for that.

Q. You say you work on work in coldness weather during the off-season, but it's showing this week. How do you feel about that?

DANIELLE KANG: I feel great about a lot of the work that I've done it. I'm so thankful for my team. It takes a village to get here, so still feels a little bit surreal. Just trying to kind of get -- take in the moment and go with the flow and see. I don't know yet.

Q. Yeah. The last three days so many Japanese fan watching and cheering for you. Could you give them a message, please?

DANIELLE KANG: To all the Japanese fans out there, thank you guys so much. I know you guys missed out on coming watch the Olympics last year in Tokyo, but hopefully we'll be out there this year in TOTO Classic.
