SENTRY TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS

January 8, 2022

Jordan Spieth

Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii, USA

Plantation Course at Kapalua

Quick Quotes

Q. 68 for you. Trending in the right direction each day. Just comment on your round.

JORDAN SPIETH: Yeah, it felt good. It felt better than that, just as every round has here, and then I just untimely swing here or there.

But my game feels like it's actually in a better shape than it was last year, especially at any point last year, let alone starting out. Frustrating the way I've scored this week, but it's always nice to feel that you're playing better. You know that the scores will follow.

Q. You know what it's like going super low. Just comment about Justin's round today.

JORDAN SPIETH: We kind of started out, it looked like we were both going to do it, and then when he started kind of making a few there on the back nine, I was really trying to push myself to keep up. He has a tremendous ability to continue to push that lower and lower and lower, and it's a skill. It was certainly fun to watch him being a buddy of mine, but I was also trying to push myself as well.

So I know the scores are out there for tomorrow. It's great and certainly I'm out of the tournament, but to be able to kind of post a really low round and get some momentum would be big.
