NEW ERA PINSTRIPE BOWL: VIRGINIA TECH VS MARYLAND

December 29, 2021

Tae Daley

Bronx, New York, USA

Yankee Stadium

Virginia Tech Hokies

Press Conference

Maryland 54, Virginia Tech 10

Q. Obviously, Maryland was successful attacking you guys through the air. What do you think gave you guys problems in terms of trying to slow down some of those deep balls that they completed?

TAE DALEY: Just hats off to those guys. They just made plays, and we didn't. That's what it comes down to. No excuse.

Q. Tae, how much did the quarterback impress you with some of his ability to extend plays and some of the throws he made today?

TAE DALEY: He definitely did a good job extending plays. There were a lot of that back there scrambling around, running around, extending plays. Like I said, hats top of those guys.

Q. Tae, I asked this to your teammates earlier. You guys got to play a bowl game. You know some teams got canceled. Through all that's going on throughout a pandemic, you got to play in Yankee Stadium, which not a lot of people get to do. What's the biggest thing you're going to remember throughout this trip with your teammates?

TAE DALEY: Honestly, I really don't know. Just the whole experience. I'll remember it all. It, obviously, sucks it finished out the way that it did, but, like you said, a lot of teams didn't even get to play. We got to play in New York in Yankee Stadium, so we're all blessed.
