Serbia - 1

THE MODERATOR: Captain, how proud are you of your guys today?

MICHAEL KOHLMANN: Very proud. I mean, to beat a team with the world No. 1, it's something special. We were talking about it before the match. I said that I actually believed that we could beat Serbia today. That it ended like this, with a tiebreak, we were down a break and everything, it's like a roller coaster.

I'm very proud. It put us in a position where we have it in our own hand to go further and to win this group.

THE MODERATOR: How do you see your chances now?

MICHAEL KOHLMANN: We still have to win one match. If we lose tomorrow, we are out. That's what we know.

Like I said, we have it in our own hands. I think that's very important. If we would have lost, we would have to look on other places, how they played. I think that's very important.

Now we can be happy, proud little bit, but then tomorrow we have to focus on the tie against Austria because it will be a tough tie. Germany-Austria, always tough.

Today we're happy and proud.

Q. Maybe from each of the players, if I could have your reflections on the match.

TIM PUETZ: Yeah, crazy match. Davis Cup is always pretty special for everybody. I thought we did a pretty good job, considering it was our first match and their second match already. I think it's always a big advantage if you've played a match before.

Considering all the circumstances, also with us playing against the world No. 1, against maybe surely one of the greatest players of all time, it's not an easy task also mentally. I thought we handled it really well.

Yeah, very, very happy obviously to be sitting here as winners today. Could have gone either way. All the better that we won that one also for the team.

Q. Kevin?

KEVIN KRAWIETZ: Yes, agree (smiling).

Q. I believe this is only your third tournament together. I know you teamed up at the Olympics. What makes you such a good team? You seemed to gel very well together straightaway.

KEVIN KRAWIETZ: Yeah, I think we know each other for long time. We didn't play so much together. But, yeah, Olympics we played two matches.

But I think it's also good that we know each other off court so well. We are good friends. Yeah, today was pretty good match. Also in the tight moments, we were down in the third set. In these moments you feel us strong together, like as a good team. Yeah, we broke back. We go in the tiebreaker.

I think chemistry worked out well.
