THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. Such a tight battle today, long. What are your reactions to it? Does it feel like one that got away?

MARTON FUCSOVICS: No, it was a good match, high quality, good rallies. I have couple of chances in the third set, but Alex was very strong mentally and physically. I kept on fighting. That's all I could do.

I think I was playing very good today, on a high level. My serve didn't work so well. But he deserved the win.

Q. Fighting has been the story for this tie from Hungary. Do you think you've surprised people with the level you produced against a team like Australia?

MARTON FUCSOVICS: I can play very good, so I think I didn't surprise anybody. I try to give my best. I was little bit cramping at the end. Physically I was not 100%.

But it was a good match.

Q. We saw you had some problems with your knee. Was it your knee or somewhere in that area?

MARTON FUCSOVICS: It was my ankle. As I said, I was cramping a little bit.

Q. Could you talk about Zsombor's performance in the first match? To play at this level, he said it was very tough for him to step out into this arena. Can you sympathize with that? How impressed have you been with him today?

MARTON FUCSOVICS: I'm very proud of him, first of all. We talked a lot about the match before the match. I think he was very calm and ready for this win. He deserve it. I trust in the guys. I always give and gave 100% in the Davis Cup ties.

Now it's their time, so they can show what they can do.

Q. You have experience at this level. Do you feel you have more of almost like a role as a figurehead to teach these guys what it's like to play at this level?

MARTON FUCSOVICS: Yeah, I'm trying to teach these guys how to behave on the court, how to think on the court. Back home we practice a lot together, so we know each other very well.

They're 300, 400 on the ranking. They have a long way to go to the top hundred. There is no guarantee they can make. I always tell them they have to work hard day by day.
