Q. Pretty solid round of golf there. How impressed are you by your game out there, 5-under in the opening round?

TAPIO PULKKANEN: Yeah, I started well. My ball-striking was really solid for the front nine, and the back nine it was a bit rusty in the beginning. But made some good pars and nice eagle on the last, so happy with the finish.

Q. Talking about the last two holes, 17, finding the bunker with your tee shot, but then to get up-and-down from there, you must have been happy with that.

TAPIO PULKKANEN: Yeah, I hit actually a pretty good tee shot, but it was just one club short. Bad bunker shot, but a really good putt off fringe and good par.

Q. Nice way to finish, holing that bunker shot on 18?

TAPIO PULKKANEN: Yeah, that was a little bonus on the last. Great bunker shot and solid roll in, and it was nice.

Q. Your first appearance here at the DP World Tour Championship. What have you made of it so far?

TAPIO PULKKANEN: Yeah, I've played the course many times. I've practised here many times. And of course the pins are quite tough on the course, and the conditions, but I'm happy to play.

Q. What kind of game do you have to win here?

TAPIO PULKKANEN: I think I need to continue to do the same as today and see what the big boys are doing.
