WOMEN'S AMATEUR ASIA-PACIFIC CHAMPIONSHIP

November 10, 2021

Sifat Sagoo

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Quick Quotes

Q. Sifat, how would you sum up that round? Looked like a very solid start, a couple of little mistakes on the back nine.

SIFAT SAGOO: It was a steady round. I think I stayed patient throughout the whole round. It was just the last couple of holes that I dropped shots.

I'm feeling really good about my game, and I'm really loving this course.

Q. You started with a birdie. You started from the 10th.

SIFAT SAGOO: I started with a birdie, and my second birdie was on the 18th. So I was patient throughout the whole round.

Q. You played the par-5s pretty well there.

SIFAT SAGOO: Yeah, I did. I birdied most of them.

Q. So what happened on 5th and 7th?

SIFAT SAGOO: I think on 5th and 7th, I think I got a little conservative, and I started playing safe. I think that's what hurt me, hurt my game because throughout the whole round I was pretty attacking, offensive, and I think those two holes playing a little defensive just cost me.

Q. You like the golf course?

SIFAT SAGOO: I do.

Q. You really enjoy looking at your chances for the next three days?

SIFAT SAGOO: Yes, definitely. I love this course. It reminds me of a course we played in college golf in Arizona. So it's a lot similar to that. I'm really loving it. I'm pretty positive about my game. I know that I'm going to play well in the next three days.
