WOMEN'S AMATEUR ASIA-PACIFIC CHAMPIONSHIP

November 10, 2021

Natasha Oon

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Quick Quotes

Q. Natasha, thank you so much for joining us. 3-under to begin the Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific. Are you happy with your performance today?

NATASHA OON: I think there were a lot of good take-aways, but I would like to have finished better since all my birdies kind of came like in the start of the round. Then at the end it kind of was a little bit shaky.

Definitely would love a better finish, but under is not bad at all. Under is a good thing.

Q. Definitely. Talk to us about that start and those birdies.

NATASHA OON: So basically, I was just hitting it really well, and I felt really good at my putting. Everything was going down my line. So I was just really confident. Sometimes I walked in putts because, I was just really confident throughout the first few holes.

Then I think 15 I hit it to the bunker, and then after that, I thought, I'm not really hitting where I want to go. Let's try and like have a different approach. I kind of had two bogeys after that, but I'm just glad that I finished 18 with a par and just kept it under control.

Q. I love that, walking in putts like a rock star. You must be taking a lot of confidence from that into the rest of the championship.

NATASHA OON: Yes for sure. I think it was just good lining and good reading and just three firm putts in. So I love that.
