NASCAR CUP SERIES: HOLLYWOOD CASINO 400

October 24, 2021

Kyle Busch

Kansas City, Kansas

Pit Road

An Interview with:

Q. Not the type of day Kurt Busch was looking for with a fast race car that had damage. Tell us about your day.

KYLE BUSCH: It started rough and I thought it was going to go rough but not that bad. Just could not get the right real feel on the entry and exit. Especially the way the wind direction was there just super loose off of turn 2 all day. Slipped out from underneath me and got in the wall the first time. That was going to be manageable, but then the second time it just killed it.

So I don't know. Just got to look back on the wind direction I guess on when we were competitive here or fast here versus what it was today because today was just not beneficial to me whatsoever.

But definitely not out of it. That's a positive of it. I haven't seen it yet but reports are third to seventh is really tight. So just got to go race

Q. You are plus 1. You're in fourth place. Martinsville for you opportunity for you?

KYLE BUSCH: Yes and no. Blaney was super fast there in the spring. And Martin Truex has been really good there lately. So we have not been as strong as we want to be there lately. I don't know. We've just got to go race and see what happens.
